  Had a really bad experience with this dealership’s service center. My compressor went out and I had to find the closest dealership to get it fixed quickly. When I went to this location they said I needed a new compressor and a timing chain cover replaced. This all totaled over 4K., they said I could just do the compressor then but needed the timing chain cover within the month.
  
  Also when I did pick up my car from the dealership after being serviced my push button start on my car had stopped working. They said this wasn’t their fault and they weren’t going to fix it. I told them this was not broken when I brought the car in and it didn’t make since that it stopped working now. The man I was talking to said that things like this happen, he has seen people get their car fixed and be driving down the road and the engine blows up. This obviously did not calm me down in the least and I think I even said “well that is reassuring” and then after some unfortunate tears of frustration my issue was escalated to the manager who said I could bring the car back in and they would try to fix the key. They eventually found that a wire had come loose which was making the car not read the signal from the key.
  
  As for the timing chain cover, this is a repair that is not expensive for the part but because it prices out at over 9 hours of work, it cost almost 2k. Since my initial visits to this Jeep dealership ended in tears I figured having the timing chain cover replaced at a local body shop sounded better. When I took it to a local shop in Charlotte and told them I needed a timing chain cover replaced, they inspected the car and then asked me “why I thought I needed that?” I told hem he Jeep dealership had said I needed it. The gentleman at this repair shop said that I in fact did not need that replaced, that it was completely dry and not leaking at all. He did tell me I needed an oil change and a small belt replaced, so I left there in under and hour and spending only $200.00.
  
  I would not recommend the service department at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram off Indian Trail because my experience there was very unpleasant and could have been incredibly expensive for something completely unnecessary.
